16 July 2011 Ride: The Moon, the Moon.

On a walk last night, I played around with the manual mode of the camera.  It's an odd element of the camera to me, manual, as I'm used to using manual mode in old film cameras where I turned various knobs to get my setting.  Manual in a digital camera seems almost paradoxical.

The key feature in manual mode is that I can hold the shutter open for as long as I wish.  Without a tripod, that becomes a challenge.  I used a split rail fence to steady the camera for the picture below, holding the shutter open for 20 seconds.  What I really thinks adds to the picture is the house light in the bottom left-hand corner.

I had thoughts for a 40-50 mile ride this morning.  But I found myself feeling very sluggish which did not abate even after 20 miles of riding.  It was definitely the day of the moon as she kept following me everywhere.

Today's Ride:  1hr 44mins. 20.09 miles.  75 degrees.  Miles YTD:  4.532.71
