The key feature in manual mode is that I can hold the shutter open for as long as I wish. Without a tripod, that becomes a challenge. I used a split rail fence to steady the camera for the picture below, holding the shutter open for 20 seconds. What I really thinks adds to the picture is the house light in the bottom left-hand corner.
I had thoughts for a 40-50 mile ride this morning. But I found myself feeling very sluggish which did not abate even after 20 miles of riding. It was definitely the day of the moon as she kept following me everywhere.
