Ah, to be young and have strong legs.
However, once she passed me, she didn't pull away. I ended up being right behind her which made it a bit awkward at first. Though, I think we settled into a temporary status of riding buddies. I will say that it did seem she had to pump harder on the pedals to maintain her position, not that we were racing. About 2 miles later she took a left and I bid her a good day.
I came across this cloud formation near the Botanical Garden. The lower one is the one that caught my eye having a surreal appearance. In the photo, I now see a fish face of sorts on the right end.
Lacking for any true inspiration for photo taken this morning, I thought of capturing some other folks from the back side. The woman below on the bike, I passed very easily. I didn't really notice it at the time but I like how the rider and the walker have a matching color clothing scheme.
Getting close to the end of the ride, a sandbar under a bridge caught my eye. I really liked the contrast of the sunlight and the shadow on the bar.
By accident, I found the picture below to be a very interesting composition when I rotated it 90 degrees.
Back at the parking lot, two familiar faces. Cookie and Martin had just finished a ride out on the trail in the opposite direction.
Tomorrow morning will be an early ride as I then head out to Nashville,TN. Still feels too soon after coming back to do a 9 hour drive.
Todays' Ride: 2hrs. 11mins. 25.03 miles. 75-80 degrees. Miles YTD: 3,742.35
